How do I report a member violation?

+

Click the ellipsis (three dots) on the user’s profile and click on ‘Report.’ Pick the appropriate reason from the list and provide a clear description of the violation. Our Customer Support team will then begin an investigation into your report.

Please note that reporting a member will automatically block that member, preventing them from communicating with you and from seeing your profile.

Was this FAQ helpful?

What is the difference between hiding and blocking?

+

Both hidden and blocked users are unable to see your profile in search results or from their member dashboard, but there are several major differences between these actions:

1) Hidden users can continue to send you messages and receive your messages. You cannot communicate with blocked users.

2) Hidden users can be unhidden. Blocked users cannot be unblocked.

3) On a web browser, the hide action can be performed from the ‘Interests’ section by hovering over the profile. The block action must be performed from a member’s profile or message thread.

4) Hiding a user can be considered a temporary action. Blocking a user is a permanent action.

+

Seeking has tens of millions of members worldwide, with millions of new users joining each year.

Was this FAQ helpful?

I don’t have recurring billing and my membership is about to expire. How do I keep my membership active without interruption?

+

The option to renew your membership only becomes available within 7 days of expiration. Click the ‘Upgrade’ button to renew your membership and continue your Seeking experience uninterrupted.

Was this FAQ helpful?

Why did my membership expire a day early?

+

Seeking memberships are standardized to 30 or 90 days to ensure all members receive the same length of membership, regardless of the month you sign up in.

For example:

  • If you sign up for 30 days of Premium membership on April 1 at 2:00 pm, your upgrade will expire and renew on May 1 at 2:00 pm.
  • If you start on May 1 at 3:00 pm, it will end on May 31 at 3:00 pm.
  • If you upgrade on February 1 at 4:00 pm, your membership will end on March 3 at 4:00 pm (or March 2 at 4:00 pm in a leap year).

Because of the standardized length of 30 or 90 days, memberships may sometimes appear to end ‘early’ in months with 31 days. However, you can rest assured you always receive the full duration of your membership from the exact time of purchase.

Was this FAQ helpful?

Does Seeking allow open or polyamorous relationships?

+

Seeking does not prohibit non-traditional relationship structures, provided that all parties are informed and consenting adults. All use of the platform must comply with applicable local laws and regulations.

Please note that, for age and selfie verification purposes, Seeking only allows one person per account and prohibits shared profiles.

Was this FAQ helpful?

Why was my account downgraded to standard?

+

If your recurring paid membership expired unexpectedly while set to renew automatically, it was likely due to a billing issue with your stored payment method (for example, if the card on file has expired or doesn’t have sufficient funds).

Member subscriptions include a 24-hour grace period during which we retry the payment using your saved billing information. If payment is still unsuccessful after the grace period, your account will automatically revert to standard membership. We will continue attempting the charge; if successful, your Premium benefits will be restored immediately.

We recommend keeping your billing information up-to-date to avoid interruptions with your recurring membership.

What is the difference between Seeking and SeekingArrangement?

+

SeekingArrangement was created in 2006 as a dating service focused on helping successful singles level the dating playing field by encouraging members to highlight their life’s achievements and not just their looks. Over time, SeekingArrangement.com became the preferred dating platform for people pursuing “sugar” dating and “mutually beneficial” relationships, which were not explicitly banned at the time.

In 2022, the platform completed its rebrand as Seeking.com to reflect an intentional shift away from “sugar” and “compensated companionship” toward intentional, luxury dating centered on alignment and lasting connections.

SeekingArrangement no longer exists as a dating service. Today, Seeking is a modern dating site for people looking for genuine, meaningful relationships.

What is ‘sugar’ dating?

+

“Sugar” dating is a form of relationship where two individuals form a mutually beneficial arrangement, with each bringing something the other party values to the partnership. The term “sugar” typically refers to financial support provided by one of the parties.

Seeking explicitly prohibits sugar dating and does not allow any form of transactional arrangements on its platform. Please review our Community Guidelines for additional information.

Was this FAQ helpful?

If I deactivate my account, will my membership period be placed on hold?

+

No. Deactivating your account will not pause or extend your membership period. Membership packages expire exactly the specified number of days later from the initial purchase date, regardless of your account status. Membership expiration dates and times are reflected in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
