General Campaign Questions

1. What is the Breakup Campaign?

The Breakup Campaign is a limited-time promotion where eligible new users can complete a survey to receive a promotional membership upgrade. Participants may also optionally submit a breakup story for a chance to be entered into the luxury bag giveaway.


2. When does the promotion run?

The promotion runs from 12:00 AM on February 21, 2026 through 11:59 PM on April 11, 2026


3. Who is eligible to participate?

To participate, you must:

  • Not currently have a membership with Seeking. This promotion is valid for first-time members only. Previous members are not eligible.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reside in the United States of America.

4. Is a purchase required to participate?

No. A purchase is not required to receive the promotional upgrade or to enter the prize giveaway. Purchasing a membership does not increase your chances of winning.


How to Participate

5. How do I qualify for the promotional membership upgrade?

To qualify, you must:

  1. Register for a new account through the dedicated campaign landing page.
  2. Complete the required “Breakups Should Be Fun” survey 

6. Do I have to submit a breakup story?

A breakup story is not required to receive the membership upgrade. However, a breakup story is required if you want to be eligible for the luxury bag giveaway.


7. What types of questions are included in the survey?

The survey includes includes breakup-related questions such as:

  • How did you meet your ex?
  • Who actually ended the relationship?
  • What quality did your ex lack that you’re looking for in a new relationship?

It also includes basic information like your name, email and date of birth.


8. Can I submit more than one story?

No. Only one story submission per participant is allowed. Submitting multiple stories will disqualify you from prize consideration.


Promotional upgrades

9. What do Gold members receive?

Eligible Gold members receive:

  • Ninety (90) Days of Gold Membership (valued at $70 USD)

10. What do Platinum members receive?

Eligible Platinum members receive:

  • Three (3) profile boosts (valued at $30 USD)

11. Will I be automatically charged after the free Gold period ends?

No. The promotional Gold upgrade automatically expires after 90 days. You will not be charged unless you manually choose to subscribe.


12. What happens if I purchase a membership while my promo is pending?

If you purchase a membership while your promotional upgrade is pending approval:

  • Your promo will still be honored once approved.
  • Your membership will be extended by 90 days.
  • No benefits will be lost.

13. What if I paid using Google Pay?

If you purchased your membership via Google Pay, we are unable to manually extend your subscription expiration date because Google controls renewals and billing timelines.


14. Is there a limit to how many promotional upgrades I can receive?

Yes. There is a limit of one promotional upgrade per person.


Prize Giveaway (Dior Book Tote)

15. What is the luxury bag giveaway?

One participant will win a Dior Book Tote (valued at approximately $3,800 USD). Color selection is determined solely by Seeking and cannot be chosen by the winner.


16. How is the winner selected?

Eligible story submissions will be evaluated by the Seeking Team based on criteria such as emotional resonance and originality.


17. When and how will the winner be notified?

The winner will be contacted via the email associated with their account within 60 days after the promotion ends.


18. What happens if the winner doesn’t respond?

The winner must respond within 72 hours of notification. Failure to respond or provide a valid shipping address may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.


19. Are there taxes on the prize?

Yes. The winner is responsible for all applicable taxes. Because the prize value exceeds $600, the winner must submit a W-9 form and will receive a 1099-MISC.


Story Submission & Privacy

20. How will my story be used?

By submitting a story, you grant Seeking a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, and publish the content for marketing purposes.


21. Will my identity be shared?

Stories may be edited for clarity. Seeking will anonymize submissions by using only your first name or a pseudonym. General location may be used unless you request otherwise.


22. Can I submit screenshots or videos?

Yes. Participants may optionally upload supporting screenshots or videos with their breakup story.


23. What if my story mentions my ex or another person?

You’re welcome to share your own original stories that involve others, but please ensure that you change names, locations, workplaces and other identifying details so any other person cannot be recognized. 

For any identifiable third parties, you must have and be able to provide their written consent.

We reserve the right to edit submissions for additional anonymization or to decline stories where a third party could be identified or negatively affected.


Additional Policies

24. Can the upgrade or prize be exchanged for cash?

No. The upgrade and prize are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.


25. Can Seeking modify or cancel the promotion?

Yes. Seeking reserves the right to modify or terminate the promotion at any time. However, already awarded memberships will be honored for their full promotional duration.


iOS / Android Troubleshooting Tips

26. I am on an iOS device and I am having issues uploading a video

If your video upload is failing, freezing, or timing out, try the steps below in order.

1. Check Your Upload Connection

Large video files require a stable and strong upload speed. Unstable Wi-Fi is the most common cause of failure.

Try the following:

• Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data
• Avoid public, hotel, or shared Wi-Fi networks
• Move closer to your router
• Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then turn it off and retry
• Restart your device and try again

Tip: If possible, test your upload speed. A minimum of 5 Mbps upload speed is recommended for larger files.

2. Reduce Video File Size (4K Is a Common Issue)

4K videos are large and often fail in mobile browsers due to timeout limits.

To fix this:

• Open the video in the Photos app
• Tap Edit and trim the video to remove unnecessary length
• Export or share the video in 1080p instead of 4K
• Use a video compression app if needed
• Keep your screen awake during the upload process. Do not lock your phone

Tip: Videos under 60–90 seconds upload more reliably on mobile.

3. Make Sure the Video Is Fully Downloaded from iCloud

If your video shows a small cloud icon, it is stored in iCloud and not fully downloaded to your device.

To fix this:

• Open the Photos app
• Tap the video
• Wait until it fully downloads and plays without buffering
• Confirm there is no cloud icon remaining
• Try uploading again

If needed, go to Settings → Photos and temporarily enable “Download and Keep Originals.”

4. Close and Reopen Your Browser

Sometimes the issue is session-related.

• Fully close your browser app
• Reopen it
• Log back in
• Attempt the upload again

If the Issue Still Persists

If you have tried all steps above and the upload still fails:

• Try uploading from a different browser
• Try uploading from a desktop or laptop computer
• Confirm the file format is supported (MP4 is recommended)
• Ensure the file is not corrupted by playing it fully before uploading

If contacting support, include:
• Device type
• Browser name and version
• Video resolution and file size
• Screenshot of any error message


27. I am on an Android device and I am having issues uploading a video

If your video is not uploading or keeps failing, follow these steps.

1. Check Your Upload Connection

Unstable upload speed is the #1 cause of failed uploads.

Try:

• Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data
• Avoid public or shared Wi-Fi networks
• Move closer to your router
• Turn Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds, then turn it off
• Restart your device

If possible, test your upload speed. Aim for at least 5 Mbps upload speed.

2. Reduce Video File Size (4K Often Fails)

Large or 4K videos frequently time out in mobile browsers.

To fix:

• Open your Gallery app
• Trim the video length
• Lower resolution to 1080p instead of 4K
• Use a trusted video compression app
• Keep the screen on during the upload
• Avoid switching apps during upload

Tip: Try uploading a shorter test video to confirm the issue is file size related.

3. Clear Browser Cache or Try Another Browser

Mobile browser cache issues can interrupt uploads.

To clear cache in Chrome:

Chrome → ⋮ → Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files

After clearing cache:

• Fully close Chrome
• Reopen it
• Log back in
• Retry the upload

You can also try a different browser such as Chrome, Samsung Internet, or Firefox.

4. Check Available Storage

If your device storage is nearly full, uploads may fail.

• Go to Settings → Storage
• Ensure you have at least 1–2 GB of free space
• Delete unused apps or media if necessary

If the Issue Still Persists

If you have tried all steps above and the upload still fails:

• Try uploading from a different browser
• Try uploading from a desktop or laptop computer
• Confirm the file format is supported (MP4 is recommended)
• Ensure the file is not corrupted by playing it fully before uploading

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the “Break-up” Promotion (the “Promotion”) offered by Seeking.com and its related entities (“Seeking,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By participating in this Promotion, you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and the primary Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of our platform Seeking.com.

1. Eligibility

To participate in this Promotion, you must:

  • Not currently have a membership with Seeking.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reside in the United States of America.

2. How to Enter

To qualify for the Promotion reward (“Reward”) and the Promotion contest (“Prize”), Participants must complete the following steps via the dedicated Promotion Landing Page:

  1. Account Creation: Register for a new Seeking account using the dedicated Promotion landing Page. Accounts created directly via the standard homepage or app are not eligible.
  2. Mandatory Survey: Complete the “Breakups Should Be Fun” survey in its entirety. All required fields must be populated with bona fide information.
  3. Break-up Story (Optional for Reward, Required for Prize): Participants may choose to submit a written account, screenshots, and/or video of a recent past break-up (“Story”). Submission of a Story is not required to receive the Reward; however submission of a Story is required to be eligible for the Prize. One Story per Participant only. Multiple submitted Stories by the same Participant will disqualify the Participant from being selected for Prize. Any Story submitted is subject to the usage rights outlined in Section 5.
  4. Promotional period starts at 12:00 am on February 21, 2026 and ends at 11:59 pm on April 11, 2026.

3) Promotional Reward

Eligible Participants who complete the Account Creation and the Mandatory Survey outlined in Section 2 will receive one of the following:

  • For Gold Members: Three (3) Months of Gold Membership Upgrade (valued at $70 USD): Access to premium features including being featured first, being able to add multiple locations, being able to see platinum members, enhanced search filters, and more.
  • For Platinum Members: Three (3) Account Boosts (valued at $30 USD): Credits to increase profile visibility and connect faster. Boosts last for 24 hours each and can be applied at any time.

Expiration Policy: The Gold Membership upgrade is a promotional trial. At the end of the three (3) month period, the upgrade will automatically expire, and the account will revert to a standard account unless Participant opts to purchase a subscription upgrade. No credit card is required to initiate this Reward for the promotional period and Participant will not be auto-billed unless Participant manually chooses to subscribe at the end of the promotional period.

4) Promotional Prize

One (1) participant will be selected to receive the promotional Prize, a small Dior* book tote (valued at approximately $3,800 USD). All prize details, including color, will be determined by Seeking in its sole discretion. Winner cannot choose the color of the bag. Void where prohibited.

Winner Determination:

  1. One Story submission per Participant. Multiple Stories submitted by the same Participant will disqualify the Participant from being selected for the Prize.
  2. All eligible entries will be judged by judges selected from Seeking’s Marketing Team on three criteria: Emotional Resonance (50%), Originality (25%), and Brand Alignment (25%).
  3. In the event of a tie, the submission with the highest Emotional Resonance score will be deemed the winner.
  4. The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.
  5. Taxes. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes related to the Prize. Because the Prize value exceeds $600, the winner will be required to provide a W-9 form and will be issued an IRS Form 1099-MISC for the retail value of the Prize.
  6. The winner will be contacted via the email associated with their account within 60 days of the Promotion’s end.
  7. No purchase necessary. Purchase will not influence chances of winning.
  8. Promotional period starts at 12:00 am on February 21,2026 and ends at 11:59 pm on April 11, 2026.

5) Content License & Marketing Rights

By submitting a Story, Participant grants Seeking a world-wide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-
free, and sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such
content.

  • Marketing Use: We may use your Story (or excerpts thereof) in social media, email marketing, advertisements, blog posts, and other promotional materials.
  • Privacy: We may edit Stories for length or clarity. We agree to anonymize the Story by using only your first name or a pseudonym to protect your privacy. Your first name and general location may be used unless otherwise requested.
  • Waiver: You waive any rights, including “moral rights” or rights of attribution regarding the Story.

6) Third-Party Content & Release of Liability

By submitting a Story, you represent and warrant that the content is your own original Story and does not infringe upon the privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights of any other party.

  • Third-Party Consent: If your Story contains identifying details or specific references to a third party (e.g., a former partner), you represent that you have the right to share such information or have sufficiently anonymized the details to prevent the identification of said third party.
  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seeking, its affiliates, its agents, its employees, and its marketing partners from and against any claims, suits, or damages (including legal fees) arising from a breach of these representations or from the use of your Story as authorized in Section 5.
  • Release: You hereby release Seeking, its affiliates, its agents, its employees, and its marketing partners from any and all claims regarding defamation, invasion of privacy, or right of publicity related to the publication of the Story in a marketing context.

7) Winner Selection & Prize Delivery

  • Verification: The potential winner of the Prize must respond to the notification within 72 hours. Failure to respond within 72 hours or to provide a valid shipping address will result in forfeiture, and an alternate winner may be selected.
  • Compliance: To receive the Prize, the winner may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a further Publicity Release, where legal.
  • Shipping: Seeking will cover standard shipping costs for the Prize.

8) General Restrictions

  • Limit: One (1) promotional Reward per person/IP address.
  • No Cash Value: Reward and Prize are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
  • No Substitutions: Prize is awarded “as is” with no choice of color and no substitutions.
  • Disqualification: We reserve the right to disqualify any Participant for any reason believed appropriate in the sole discretion of Company, including Participants who submit fraudulent information or violate our community guidelines.
  • Modification: We reserve the right to modify or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notice, provided that existing rewarded memberships will be honored for their full duration.
