What is Aromantic?

An orientation which is typified by a lack of desire or interest in creating and fostering romantic relationships.

Someone who is aromantic is not necessarily asexual. It is entirely possible that an aromatic individual can experience sexual attraction and interest in other people.

Herbert: “I like you, but I’m aromantic, so I’d only want a friends with benefits type of thing.”
Linda: “You mean, you want to have the sexual parts of a relationship, and not the romantic part?”
Herbert: “Yes.”
