Someone who is pangender will not conform to the standard gender binary. They do not identify as male or female and instead believe that they belong to a third gender.
Pangender is different from other gender orientations in that most other gender orientations will move between the standard gender binary, irrespective of sex. A pangender person identifies with a gender completely removed from the traditional male & female binary.
Example
Eugene will sometimes wear makeup when he goes out with friends. It depends on how he is feeling. He doesn’t think that he’s male or female, he identifies as pangender, so he doesn’t really stay within the male or female societal norms.
